PLUSECON H.R. & SECURITY CONSULTING , which has been providing services to many valuable and high-level institutions and individuals in the fields of Security and Human Resources Consultancy for a long time,  has also started "Fire Safety Consultancy" services which includes  both security and safety risks.

Consultancy services are carried out by a team of two people working together with an experienced firefighter and a security consultant.

Although the risk of fire can emerge in the form of fires that will occur as a result of accidents and negligence and as a result of sabotage and / or terrorist acts, it should be considered as the primary risk for every institution without questioning the reason for the occurrence, considering the consequential damage.

A little personal negligence, unsuitable equipment, weak equipment far from meeting the required energy, even natural phenomena can create such an unwanted risk at an unexpected time.

Considering terrorist acts, strict measures are taken for important institutions for risk factors such as bomb packages, bomb vehicles, etc. It is ignored that more property and life than a vehicle attack can cause more casualties than a direct attack by gunmen.

just as the other countries of the world, numerous events related to this risk have occurred in our country as well. According to the data, 15.162 fires broke out in Istanbul in the first eight months of 2019 alone, and 124 factories, besides 3121 houses, were destroyed during this period.

Taking precautions for the risks that the institutions may encounter and creating protective procedures will be possible by making a detailed risk analysis and predicting these risks while the institutional buildings are still under construction or if an existing space is to be used. The prerequisite of this risk analysis is a detailed risk analysis by experts.

Although such studies were carried out in some institutions while the common places were still at the project stage and an appropriate fire safety system was established, the precautions regarding the fire risk, which we are not often predict, dissolve by "Routine" over time. The belief that the system created in an excellent way, increases this situation even more. No matter how good the systems are, the human element of each system is generally unconsidered as a result and the need for constant monitoring is forgotten.  So the systems are left alone. Fire and evacuation drills and trainings are left aside after a while, fire response and evacuation teams are set up only for compliance with the regulations related with safety, often enough training and equipment are not provided to Security and Cleaning staff who may have to perform the first response to fire, etc.

Corporate risk analysis and fire consultancy regarding fire risk

The above-mentioned works start with a physical exploration work on the Preliminary project or in the existing spaces. The reconnaissance team consists of an experienced Fire expert, a safety consultant and (if engineering and drawing work will be done) a safety & Security engineer. Possible fire risks and recommended measures are completely specific to that institution and the security risks of the institution and  is prepared by considering the factors like location, storage areas, stored products, production areas and the material produced, the presence of flammable flammable elements, etc.

Taking precautions for the risks that the institutions may encounter and creating protective procedures can only be possible by making a detailed risk assesment work and predicting these risks while the institutional buildings are still under construction. The prerequisite of this risk analysis is a detailed risk analysis by experts.

Method of application and operation

Examining the entire facility layout together with the production process, determining the fire risks and offering solutions on a project basis.

Detection of fire extinguishing, warning and warning systems, alarm panels, control rooms devices, apparatus and materials in accordance with international standards (water, dry, gas) with the principle of space and risk, if any, checking and evaluating the existing ones and preparing a report containing the necessary suggestions.

Preparation of specific studies and instructions for the workplace where findings and measures to be taken are written.

Preparation of fire scenarios.
Supervision of personnel regarding fire precautions.
Preparation of "Emergency Plan" (response plan)
Informing and training the personnel, implementation of exercises.

As a result of the examination by our fire experts, an effective fire warning and response system project will be prepared for the customer. In the project to be prepared in accordance with the fire regulation, the nature and task of the material that should be will be specified in detail.

Personnel training,
Fire Response and Evacuation Teams and Security Officers trainings,
Applied fire and evacuation drills

When faced with a fire risk, the most important factor is whether we have the right preventive measures. When all preventive measures are insufficient and when the fire starts, correct intervention work emerges as an important element, and when this is insufficient, an effective and rapid evacuation and thus preventing loss of life becomes the most important factor.

Although fire intervention and evacuation teams are established in the institutions as required by the law, it is expected that each staff member in the institution can use an initiative to intervene if he is the first person to detect the fire. Even if the situation of intervention does not arise, it is clear that every resident of the institution should have at least an effective knowledge of fire and evacuation in order to avoid this risk with the least damage. Information, which is the only way to get out of such a risk with the least damage or without harm, can only be reached through effective training and exercises without panicking and acting calmly.

Fire Department Fire Compliance Report Consultancy

It is the report requested by the authorities that carry out the licensing and authorization procedures of the workplaces, during the construction phase or while the activities of the enterprise are continuing, in order to inspect and regulate the measures taken against fire and emergencies.

By providing consultancy and information support to persons and institutions during the reporting process of the compliance report in which safe evacuation possibilities are documented in case of any fire danger, we can prevent both cost and time losses by making exploration studies to eliminate all gaps in advance in order to obtain the Fire Brigade Compliance Report.

The fact that business owners have such an audit during the construction or project phase will result in them getting rid of additional construction costs or additional time such as demolition-redo, etc.
